Our names are Alena Powell, Valentina Rivoli, and Lucy Wong. We are sophomores at Avenues: the World School in New York City. We were fortunate to be a part of Project Sustain for our second semester this school year. Project Sustain was an opportunity that allowed some tenth graders to explore and develop their interests with an added element of various targets to hit. We were to dive deep into a project for almost five months to establish a sustainable outcome in an area we were passionate about. While doing so, we were able to enhance our researching, writing, and interviewing skills as well as improving our collaboration skills when faced with challenges.  We were also able to learn more about our own strengths and weaknesses as students to see how our partner's traits could push us forward.
